Hey y'all! I'm Lindsey
I started making elderberry syrup in 2017 when I was wanting a way to keep my family healthy during cold and flu season. After I saw how effective it was at keeping my family healthy, I started advertising it in my neighborhood. I quickly grew to being the neighborhood "elderberry lady". Through positive word of mouth, people kept requesting I make it available to those outside the neighborhood, so I started offering to those locally and my business kept growing from there! Now, it's freshly brewed in a regulated commercial kitchen weekly and available in retail locations around North Houston and local farmer's markets!
When I'm not busy brewing delicious elderberry syrup, you can find me spending time with my husband and 2 daughters, crafting, or sewing!
BENEFITS
ELDERBERRIES
Elderberries are a nutritional powerhouse. They are packed with antioxidant and antiviral properites. The berries also contain high levels of Vitamins A and C and are a good source of minerals. Both the berries and flowers of the elderberry tree have been used for centuries as part of folk medicine and traditional medicine to help with issues like colds and flu, respiratory illnesses, and more.
CEYLON CINNAMON
This spice is a powerhouse when it comes to health benefits (antimicrobial and antibacterial to name a couple) and warming up the body naturally. One of the key constituents in cinnamon is tannins, which are, in part, responsible for having a drying effect on the body’s mucous membranes.
GINGER ROOT
Inhibits rhinovirus (causes the common cold), reduces inflammation, and can boost circulation.
CLOVES
Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antimicrobial properties.
RAW LOCAL HONEY
Natural cough suppressant that helps reduce throat irritation. It's also great for seasonal allergies (local pollen source), antibacterial, and anti-fungal.
